Penggunaan Media Pemupukan Terhadap Pertumbuhan Rumput Gajah Taiwan (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Taiwan)
Keywords:
Taiwan grass, organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizerAbstract
Forage grown in Indonesia can increase plant growth in terms of quality and quantity on less productive land through the level of fertilization media application. The proper fertilization medium is the process of adding nutrients to the soil to produce sufficient forage, such as Taiwan elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Taiwan). Fertilization can potentially be used from organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of the best response of cow manure, urea, and its combination on the growth of Taiwan elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Taiwan). The method used to identify fresh ingredients from Taiwan elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Taiwan) and determine the N, P, and K content of cow dung and urea was tested at the Industrial Research and Consulting Laboratory, Surabaya. The results of this study in the P4 treatment using 50 grams of cow manure and 50 grams of urea gave the best effect on the response of Taiwan elephant grass to plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight and dry weight.
