Abstract

Peppermint plants can be used as medicine, cosmetic ingredients, to add aroma and taste to food and drinks. Therefore, efforts need to be made to increase the growth potential of stem cuttings, so natural growth regulators are needed that are effective for the formation of new shoots, roots and leaves. The aim of this research is to determine the influence and optimum concentration of growth regulators of shallot extract, coconut water, their combination on the growth of peppermint plants (Mentha piperita L.). This method uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The research results were analyzed using the One Way Anova test using the Post Hoc test, there was a significant influence on the growth of peppermint plants on the parameter number of leaves in the K5 treatment (a combination of 41% shallot extract + 100% coconut water), namely 53.75 strands and the number of roots in the K3 treatment ( 41% red onion extract, namely 32.25, root length parameters for treatment K2 (Rootone-f 100 ppm) and K5 (Combination of 41% red onion extract + 100% coconut water) namely 27.75 cm
