Abstract

Cat washing plant (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.) is one of the medicinal plants which have a relatively high efficacy value so that it is widely cultivated by the community. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of giving natural growth regulators towards the growth of cat's whiskers plant stem cuttings (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.) with stock sticking method and the provision of natural ingredients that are used as the most optimal growth regulators to increase the growth of the cat's whiskers plant. The design of this research is Experimental Research Design using a completely randomized design (CRD). There were 28 experimental units from 4 treatments and 7 replications. The data analysis used is the parameters of the number of shoots, number of leaves, and stem height using a graph of the average yield each week. The data analysis is done by using the One Way Anova test with α 0.05 afterward if the data is not normally distributed the Kruskal Wallis test is continued. After the harvest period (30 days) the data collection is carried out in the form of parameters of root length, the number of roots, wet weight of roots, and dry weight of roots. The results of the One Way Anova test showed that there was a significant difference in the number of roots, root length, and wet weight of plant roots but there was no significant difference in root dry weight. The most optimal natural growth regulators soaked in plants are found in the natural ingredients of the first rinsed rice washing water and bean sprout extract.
