Abstract

Air Conditioner is a tool used to regulate air circulation in the room. The use of an Air Conditioner (AC) needs to be paid attention to its cleanliness, an Air Conditioner (AC) that is not guaranteed clean will be a good place for the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, Isolation Room in hospitals needs to be checked regularly, especially in the Air Conditioner (AC) used as ventilation. The research objective was to determine the total plate count of the Air Conditioner (AC) smear in the droplet isolation room and to find out the bacteria contained in the Air Conditioner (AC) in the droplet isolation room. The research was conducted in July 2019. The study used a descriptive exploratory method with purposive sampling method. The results obtained a total plate count of 1,4 CFU / Cm2, the results of the identification of biochemical tests obtained the Yersinia sp. Based on the results obtained, it shows that the air conditioner (AC) of the droplet isolation room is contaminated with the Yersinia sp. bacteria.
