Abstract

Mentha piperita L or papermint is a plant that has high economic value because the leaves and stems of this plant can produce oil commonly known as menthol. Papermint propagation by vegetative stem cuttings is considered more effective, but in the formation of roots it is necessary to add PGR. Household waste that may be plant growth substances is leri water which contains vitamin B1, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, manganese (Mn), phosphor (P), iron (Fe), fiber, and essential fatty acids that are needed by plants. This study aims to determine the effect of leri water on the growth of papermint stems. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 7 experimental treatments. Data from the results of research that has been carried out will be analyzed descriptively with an average (±) SD and presented in tabular form. The results of this study showed that the first rinsed water produced the most optimal number of roots and root length.
