Abstract

The factors that cause poverty assistance recipients to be not on target are the lack of clear criteria for the poor and the selection of inappropriate methods resulting in errors in manual calculations. The Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS) method is used for the selection of beneficiaries with the aim of ranking all alternatives being compared. The implementation uses excel with one hundred alternatives (village communities) which will be compared based on their respective criteria and sub-criteria. The criteria used include building status, floor area, type of floor, building area, and cooking fuel. The output of this method is the total preference value of all criteria. The highest score will receive priority to receive poverty assistance. The purpose of this research is to apply Fuzzy TOPSIS in selecting Poverty aid recipients during the Covid-19 Pandemic Period. The results showed that Mohammad Fatkhul Amin obtained the largest total preference value of 0.5215 and became a priority for poverty assistance.
