Publication Ethics Policy:
For Authors:
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and that any sources, including those generated by AI, are properly cited. The use of AI-generated content must be disclosed.

Authorship: All authors listed on a manuscript must have contributed significantly to the research and writing of the paper, including any AI-generated content. The use of AI tools or software in the research and writing process must be disclosed.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of the results, including any financial or personal relationships with AI tool or software providers.

Data Access and Retention: Authors should provide access to the data underlying their work, including any AI-generated data, for review and should retain such data for a reasonable amount of time after publication.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of sources, including those generated by AI, and the contributions of others must be given. Authors should obtain permission to reproduce any AI-generated content that is not their own.

Accuracy and Care: The manuscript should provide an accurate account of the research and results, including any AI-generated content, and should be written with care to ensure clarity and accuracy.

For Reviewers:
Objectivity and Confidentiality: Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, including any AI-generated content, without personal bias or conflict of interest. Reviewers should maintain the confidentiality of the peer review process and should not share any information about the manuscript or review with anyone other than the editor.

Timeliness: Reviewers must complete their reviews in a timely manner, including any review of AI-generated content, and notify the editor immediately if they are unable to complete the review.

Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide constructive feedback to the author, including any feedback on the use of AI tools or software, and should clearly explain their comments and criticisms.

For Editors:

Transparency: Editors should clearly communicate the publication process to authors and reviewers, including any guidelines on the use of AI tools or software, and should provide clear guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission.

Allegations of Research Misconduct Policy:

Retaliation: Any retaliation against individuals who report allegations of research misconduct will not be tolerated and will be subject to disciplinary action.
Findings: If the investigation finds evidence of research misconduct, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include correction or retraction of published work, disciplinary action against individuals involved, and reporting to relevant authorities or institutions.

Appeals: Any individual found to have committed research misconduct will have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals will be reviewed by an independent committee appointed by the Editor-in-Chief.

Education: Emara Journal of Architecture will provide education and training on research ethics and the responsible conduct of research to all individuals involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, and editors.
